Fire pump testing and servicing
Fire pumps boost water pressure to your sprinklers and hydrants when it matters. We run, test and maintain commercial pumpsets to AS 1851, and install new pumps when systems are upgraded.
Services we provide
- Routine pump run tests
- Yearly flow testing
- Controller, alarm and power supply checks
- Valve, gauge and pipework inspection
- Defect reporting and repairs
- New pumpset installations
- Records in your portal
Why it matters
A fire pump that won't start, or can't deliver pressure, leaves sprinklers and hydrants short of water exactly when they're needed.
Pumpsets are part mechanical, part electrical. With both trades in one team, the pump, its controller and its power supply are checked together — not by two contractors who each look after half.

How often does a fire pump need testing?
Pumpsets have routine run tests (weekly or monthly, depending on the pumpset), plus six-monthly, yearly and five-yearly activities under AS 1851 — including a yearly flow test.
Why does a fire pump need a flow test?
A flow test confirms the pump can still deliver the flow and pressure the system was designed for — something a simple run test can't show.
Can you look after the pump's electrical controls?
Yes. Our electricians can service the controller and power supply as part of the same visit.
