Thermal imaging electrical inspections

An infrared scan shows what a visual inspection can't — loose connections, overloaded circuits and failing components running hot. We find them before they fail, and report them in order of priority.

Infrared scan under normal load

Services we provide

  • Infrared scans of switchboards and distribution boards
  • Hot spot identification with thermal and visible images
  • Findings ranked by priority
  • Repair quotes and follow-up scans
  • Written report, ready to share with your insurer

Why it matters

Heat is often the first sign of an electrical fault. Thermal imaging is non-invasive — equipment keeps running while it's scanned, because that's when hot spots show up.

Finding a hot connection on a scan costs far less than finding it after it fails.

FAQ

Thermal Imaging: common questions

Can't see your question? Call 07 3916 4344 and talk to the team.

Do you need to shut the power down?

No. Scans are done while equipment is running under normal load, which is when problems are visible.

How often should we scan?

Many businesses scan yearly, and some insurers set their own requirements. We'll recommend a frequency based on your equipment and load.

What happens if you find a hot spot?

It's ranked by priority in your report with a repair quote. Once it's fixed, a follow-up scan confirms it.
