Fire door inspection, servicing and replacement
Fire doors only work if they close, latch and seal. We inspect and service fire door sets — closers, hinges, seals, latching and signage — and repair or replace doors that no longer comply.
Services we provide
- Routine fire door inspections
- Closer, hinge and latch adjustment
- Seal and gap checks
- Hardware repairs and replacement
- Full fire door replacement
- Wedging and hold-open checks
- Records in your portal
Why it matters
Fire doors hold fire and smoke back long enough for people to get out. Everyday wear, propped-open doors and swapped-out hardware can quietly stop them doing that job.
That's why fire doors are part of your building's regular fire safety maintenance — and why a door that sticks, won't latch or has a damaged seal is worth fixing now, not at the next audit.

How often should fire doors be inspected?
Commonly every six months or every year, depending on the building's class and its maintenance requirements. We'll confirm the interval that applies to your site.
Can we prop our fire doors open?
Only if they're fitted with an approved hold-open device that releases when the alarm sounds. A wedged-open fire door is one of the most common — and most avoidable — fire door problems.
Can you replace a damaged fire door?
Yes. If a door can't be repaired back to compliance, we'll quote a replacement.
