Emergency and exit lighting testing
Emergency lights and exit signs have to work when the power doesn't. We carry out six-monthly discharge testing to AS/NZS 2293.2, repair or replace failed fittings, and report the results alongside your fire compliance.
Services we provide
- Six-monthly discharge testing (90 minutes minimum)
- Exit sign and emergency light inspections
- Battery and lamp replacement
- Failed fitting repairs and replacement
- New installations and upgrades
- Logbook and fitting-by-fitting results
Why it matters
Emergency lighting is one of the prescribed fire safety installations in Queensland buildings — but the work itself is electrical. That's exactly why it so often falls between a fire contractor and an electrician.
With both trades in one team, it's tested, repaired and reported in one place, next to the rest of your fire safety records.

FAQ
Emergency & Exit Lighting: common questions
Can't see your question? Call 07 3916 4344 and talk to the team.
How often does emergency lighting need testing?
AS/NZS 2293.2 calls for a discharge test every six months, where each fitting must run on battery for its rated duration — at least 90 minutes — plus additional yearly checks.
What happens when a fitting fails?
We record it and quote or complete the repair, so a failed fitting doesn't sit waiting for the next test.
Is emergency lighting a fire service or an electrical service?
Both. It's part of your building's fire safety installations, and the work on it is electrical — which is why having one team for both trades makes it simpler.
